Handoff note Draft prepared for attorney review. Voice is intentional. A2P 10DLC consent language follows CTIA guidance and Twilio's carrier-approved template structure. See inline [ATTORNEY REVIEW] flags for legal judgment calls.

The short version

If you text me, I have your phone number and the messages you sent. If you hire me, I'll learn things about your business to do the work. I don't sell your data. I don't use it to train AI models. I don't share your phone number with anyone for their marketing. That's most of what you need to know.

Who this policy covers

This policy covers Obsoletist [ATTORNEY REVIEW: insert full legal entity name once NC LLC is filed, e.g., "Obsoletist, LLC"], operated by Bernard Roels in North Carolina. If you have questions, contact information is at the bottom.

What I collect

When you text me

Your phone number and the content of your messages. I use this to reply, to carry out any task you've asked me to handle, and, if we end up working together, to keep a record of what we discussed. I do not share your phone number or the contents of our messages with third parties for their marketing, and I do not sell this information.

When you visit this website

This site does not use analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request; that is the only third-party request the site makes. Beyond that, there is nothing here collecting information about your visit.

When you hire me

To build your automations, I'll need access to the tools and accounts we agree the system will touch. I use the minimum access required, and I remove my access when the engagement ends unless we agree otherwise in writing. Any business data I see in the course of the work is confidential and governed by our engagement agreement.

SMS and text messaging

The phone number on this site, (910) 996-3764, is a business messaging number registered under the U.S. carrier A2P 10DLC framework. This section describes how I use SMS and how you can control it.

What kinds of messages I send

I send two categories of text message:

I do not send marketing or promotional text messages. I do not send recurring broadcast campaigns. [ATTORNEY REVIEW: confirm this accurately reflects intended use case; if marketing messages are ever added, this section and the consent flow must be updated before sending.]

How consent works

By texting the number on this website, you start a conversation and consent to receive a reply from me. If you hire me and provide your mobile number as part of the engagement, you consent to receive transactional messages related to the work we've agreed I'll do for you. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any service. Message and data rates may apply, based on your mobile carrier plan.

Frequency

Message frequency varies. You will generally receive messages only in response to your own texts or as part of a project you have hired me for.

Opting out and getting help

You can stop receiving text messages from me at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further texts. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact me using the information at the bottom of this page.

Sharing of mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

What I don't do

Third parties

Twilio handles SMS delivery. My email provider handles email. If we work together, the automations I build will use third-party services (your CRM, Zapier, Make, Google, and the like). Each of those has its own privacy policy that applies to data flowing through them. I'll tell you which services a project uses before we start, so you can review their terms.

How long I keep things

I keep text message history and project records for as long as you are an active client, and for three years after our engagement ends for reference and recordkeeping. Invoices and tax records are kept as long as required by law. You can request deletion at any time; see "Your rights" below. [ATTORNEY REVIEW: three-year retention aligns with NC's three-year statute of limitations on service contracts under G.S. 1-52; confirm appropriate given any specific client industries that may impose longer retention requirements.]

Your rights

You can ask me at any time what information I have about you, and I'll tell you. You can ask me to correct or delete it, and I will, subject to any records I'm legally required to keep (invoices, for example). Just text or email.

Children's privacy

This site and these services are intended for business use by adults. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent me information, contact me and I will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy in any way that matters, I'll update the date at the top and, for active clients, send a heads-up.
