The short version
I want this site to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology. If you run into something that doesn't work, text me and I'll fix it.
What I aim for
This site is built to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which is the standard most courts and regulators look to for digital accessibility. That covers things like sufficient color contrast, semantic structure, keyboard navigation, and screen reader compatibility.
How the site is built
The site uses standard HTML structure with proper heading levels, semantic landmarks, and descriptive link text. Decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers. Interactive elements work with keyboard alone. Color contrast meets or exceeds WCAG AA thresholds. There are no autoplaying videos, no flashing content, no popups, and no time-limited interactions.
Where I'm still working
Accessibility is ongoing work, not a one-time checkbox. I test the site with screen readers and keyboard navigation, but I'm a solo operator and can't catch everything. If you find something that doesn't work for you, please tell me. Your feedback is the fastest way for me to fix real problems for real people.
Reporting an issue
If any part of this site or any service I provide isn't accessible to you, please reach out:
- Text or call: (910) 996-3764
I aim to respond within one business day and to resolve accessibility issues as quickly as I reasonably can. If you need information from this site in a different format while I'm working on a fix, just ask and I'll get it to you.
Third-party services
Some of the work I do for clients involves third-party tools (CRMs, calendars, accounting software, and the like). Those tools are built and maintained by their vendors, and their accessibility is governed by those vendors' own policies. Where I have a choice in tooling for a project, accessibility is one of the factors I consider.
